Who is Mickey Malta?

with 8 comments

Mickey MaltaMickey Malta lives on a small island known as The Rock; hence the reason why the natives are known as the Rockers and there is absolutely no relation with the Heavy Metal head bangers – otherwise known as the children of Satan.

On the contrary, the Rockers would like to think that they are holier than the Pope, and that their beloved archipelago is at the epicentre of all earthling activities.

Mickey has been advised by his therapist – Dr Siggie Friend – to take up writing therapy so as to vent his anger, anguish, let off steam, and maybe – just maybe – satisfy his fantasies.

No one knows much about Mickey, and Dr Friend hopes that his writings will be the key to understanding Mickey’s complex personality. It is believed that Dr Friend would welcome any comments posted by readers beneath Mickey’s posts as these may help him in Mickey’s assessment.

He lives with his wife Minnie, and his daughter Melita, and their dog Osama.

Mickey looks forward to receiving your feedback and comments beneath his blog posts.

Enjoy

  4. I was wondering why you see it fit to have a link to Daphne Caruana Galizia’s blog. I’m sure you are entitled to do whatever you please, however it is interesting to see such a blemish on what I think is a great list of links.

Please explain or go to the back of the class 🙂

Now the thought has occurred to me that you post the link as a form of ridicule, and if that is the case I concur However I still see it a a promotion of her bitter and twisted ways Have the bets of days

    • Well, I guess that you’re gonna send me to the back of the class then!

It’s true that Daphne can go to extremes but she’s a great writer and she is definitely one of the sharpest knives in the drawer. Last Thursday’s article about poverty (the reaction to Fr Victor Grech’s proposals) is a case in point.

One may disagree about her attitude and bitching, but her blog 1) is entertaining and 2) offers some interesting contributions that cannot be dismissed

  5. I like your style. I like your articles. I like the people you like. I like your political ideas. =) Makes me feel sane to finally “meet” a fellow Maltese who sees reality through my lenses. I like the Carlin link, though I do believe that this blog needs some Bill Hicks quotes.
After reading your work, and seeing certain words that you use, I am curious as to what is your career. Sounds like something science related.

If due to anonymity you would not like to diverge any information, I understand fully.
Keep it up. You have gained for yourself one more avid reader.

    • Hey Reuben. Thank you for your feedback. It’s good to know that we’re not alone, eh.

So, there is no anonymity here. My name is Mickey and my surname is Malta. I don’t know why people keep asking me about my REAL name!!!

My background is actually quite different to your attempted guess. I am definitely not a ‘maths and science’ person. I actually studied the social sciences: Philosophy, Sociology and Psychology. Maybe that’s why I’m a bit screwed up in the grey matter department!
